Designed by Dutch artist, Noortje de Keijze, who says, “my knitted boyfriend means you’ll always have someone to cuddle with.”
I think it is a stitch. Impressive knitting, though. I wonder what size needles she used?

Thanks for HMS Defiant for this reference about Romano-Egyptian socks. He watches me knitting and sent this delightful story along.
I am a sock knitter and one of the nice things about knitting your own is that you can tailor them to the recipient – color, length in all dimensions, weight.
However, I have never had to adjust my knitting to accommodate the apparently stork-footed (see there are storks again) individual for whom these socks were made.
Another note is that the story talks about single-needle knitting. I always thought that was crochet – ?

I mentioned earlier that I am knitting hats for the newborns at the county hospital. Here are some of the latest creations being shown by world-class models.
Below, Murphy models a snappy white cloche with a garnet bow embellishment.
And then Sam shows off a novelty cupcake hat.
Then in profile.
This modeling can be an exhausting business.
I am amazed at how calm these guys are during the photo shoot.

Last week it was Science Tattoos – a whole new perspective on the STEM fields. This week it is, not surprisingly, Knitting. Who knew people would go to such lengths to portray their addiction hobby? And have a ball; and pursue a thread; one cannot gauge these things; or look for purls of wisdom here; or one becomes a wrapped up in a skein of stories; and then needs to send a cable – to Kitchener. Okay, I’m done needling you.
If you look really closely, you will see alpaca is not spelled incorrectly.
This post on The Knitting Needle and the Damage Done. Thanks to Curtis for the reference.

Brilliant! While you sit and rock the rocking chair will knit you a hat. This design is by two students at the College of Art and Design – Lausanne. Il y a beaucoup d’images ici.

A little something to do with that left over yarn – or go to: Beardo hats and other accessories by Jeff Phillips.

Thanks to Robb and Regan for this reference.
I have posted before about craft-cat connections. I do know someone who has knit objects from dog hair. In this book, the projects incorporate or are totally composed of hair that your cat is no longer using. Crafty recycling.
