This small structure is a utility building on the grounds of a shopping mall (formerly an estate). I love its romantic architecture so I chose to make it into a dwelling.

Yes, I have a really old stove – and I love it.
I am intrigued by the small yield of this recipe, but “normal” jamming calls for an equal amount of fruit and sugar when working with pectin. In this batch, I used 3 pounds of plums, 1 1/2 cup of sugar, the juice of one huge lemon – that’s it. I wound up with about 4 – 8 oz. jars of preserves. The preserves are incredibly good.

Inktober is an activity for which you sign up (or not) and intend to draw something everyday during the month of October. This is something I try to do anyway – drawing my lunch was my usual activity – but I have let that slide and I decided to participate in Inktober this year. As you can see, I am behind in my drawing, but will try to catch up
I “found” these on my dining room table and decided to paint them – for Inktober.
This is my tonal sketch (black and white), photograph (the little one) and my pastel painting of a cottage on the Presidio grounds in San Francisco. I am counting it because I worked on it earlier this month.
Two all-beef patties, special sauce, etc.
