Here comes the sun

After experiencing a month without a sunrise, Inuvik celebrates the return of the sun above the horizon with a festival on January 6-8, 2023.
On the first day of the sun’s return, daylight will last for just about 20 minutes, but the celebration will go on much longer and will include food, music, dancing, snow yoga (!), and other indoor and outdoor activities.
