Had a challenging 2-day long meeting at the end of which a senior team member (with a medical condition) got on a plane for home leaving all of his medications in my office. He lives in a place that does not get fast delivery service. He was not answering his cell phone, so I was worried that he was not okay – or wouldn’t be before I could get his meds back to him. (He’s okay.)
Then my cat had an allergic reaction to her flea treatment and needed kitty steroids. Still not doing well and is chewing on her leg – we’re going back to vet tomorrow.
Then my other cat decided to act up because (check one):
a. he missed me (see above)
b. he was angry because he did not get to go outside
c. he’s a cat – doesn’t need a reason
So he hopped up on my computer desk and took out the printer. You can’t begin to imagine what burned wiring and cat pee smell like together.
So when I pulled up to the ATM this morning, took out my card, and at the same moment the “temporarily out of service” sign went up . . . well, I just snapped.

The turkeys are behind the fence – really – they are just very, very good at blending in.
It turned out Mr. Stinkyman was spreading germs that were rather nasty and I am just beginning to feel better. I have a colleague who says he wears a mask on airplanes and other enclosed spaces. He says he gets looks, but has not become ill. I don’t know.

On a trip today to Colorado. When I’m in a location that’s new to me I like to take a look around for differences in the flora and fauna I can see in my travels. Okay, I am always looking around for interesting birds and other animals. The hawk that sometimes visits my suburban neighborhood will always get my attention.
