Who am I feeding?

No Gunsmoke – some Knitting.  Attended the arrival of Carmen, a new suri llama at RHL Farms last Sunday.  As I understand it, the llamas guard the alpacas and alpacas are what RHL is all about.  Carmen was introduced to Bella, the other llama who guards the girls, and to the rest of the female alpacas.  Everything went smoothly.  At this point the sun was shining, but the day was cold.  Actually, perfect weather for the alpacas and llamas and their thick, soft coats.

There are lots of male alpacas (and llamas), too, but I just have photos of the girls.

I did acquire some yarn.  I love that the skeins are labeled with the name of the animal from which it came.  So I have a skein of yarn from Pinky (creamy white) and one from Black Diamond (dark brown black).  I am working on mittens – with the yarns mixed.  Later, I may knit some in a single color, or in some other combination. I will probably post the mitten pictures when they are completed.
