Remember the Alamo
March 19, 2010Fess Parker who portrayed Davy Crockett and influenced a generation of raccoon-skin hat wearing American children has died at age 85. The TV show certainly made an impression on my childhood. We played Davy Crockett in neighbor backyards until dusk every evening (unless the show was actually on at the time.) Problems were simpler then. The difference between good guys and bad guys was clear cut. Davy was hot.
